Mental health treatment

We provide medically-supervised alternative treatment for depression, ADHC, and other mental health problems.

Liminal Medicine’s approach can be deeply healing for those who are struggling with life stressors, phase of life changes, developmental trauma, intrusive thoughts, substance use issues, and existential struggles. It helps people experience deep relaxation, disengage from distressing emotions and thought patterns, and gain access to your own inner healing intelligence.

Our approach can offer significant and quick relief from psychological symptoms while also allowing for deep exploration of self and issues that we carry. Often, but not always, it is used by people for whom other modalities have not worked. Our treatment enhances the therapeutic process, which often allows clients to move through areas in which they feel stuck and to allow for new perspective and possibility.

what makes us different

The structure of our treatments reflects our passion for providing the  highest level of care and safety. Treatment starts with a medical intake with a physician, psychological intake with a therapist, and a preparation session with the therapist.

  • Liminal Medicine provides a medical doctor onsite at each treatment.

  • Each client is paired with a therapist who works with you throughout your treatment series.

  • All of our medical and mental health providers are licensed and have specialized training in ketamine therapy.

  • Integration sessions follow each medicine session and can be just as important as the medicine sessions. They are key to  processing experiences in the medicine journey, processing things that emerge during treatment, and taking advantage of neuroplasticity and growth that occurs in the days following treatment. This specialized form of therapy helps you make the most of your medicine sessions.

IM injections & boosters

Some clients benefit from additional booster sessions to enhance and continue benefit after treatment series. In these cases, we provide intramuscular (IM) booster injections to those who’ve completed a KAP series with us or another provider.

We also offer intensive IM injection series for clients presenting with severe, acute depressive symptoms including suicidal ideation.  An IM injection series is typically two injections per week over a three-week period.

Groups

Some people benefit from a ketamine treatment group that can offer additional community, connection, and support. We have found that the group experience can offer a powerful psychedelic experience that fosters healing and growth.

We offer groups that focus on topics that change over time, based on the needs we see among our clients. We are committed to trying to find ways to make this treatment more affordable and accessible for marginalized and underrepresented community members.

Group treatment offers an alternative fee structure that includes group participation, ketamine-assisted therapy sessions and integration sessions for a more cost-effective way to get treatment. In addition, many groups offer a limited number of sliding scale spaces.

Psychotherapy

Liminal Medicine offers psychotherapy as a stand-alone treatment. Our highly-skilled therapists have multiple  specializations.

Areas of focus include in-depth psychotherapy, psychedelic integration, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, parts work, and somatic-based therapies.

We treat adults, couples, and adolescents. Virtual and in-person services are available.
