fees overview

Our fees reflect our thoughtful individualized approach, the cost of providing medical supervision and highly trained therapists, and the importance we place on providing the time and support needed for integration and healing.

We provide an estimate of total costs below, recognizing that each person’s treatment will be customized to their needs.

service types

1 | Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Intake Series

All KAP patients start with three intake sessions. Your intakes will generally be valid for other services, such as boosters and groups.

2 | Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Series

After intake, most KAP patients do a 4-6 week series, with weekly KAP sessions and weekly integration sessions.

3 | Ketamine IM Injection Series

A ketamine injection series, without KAP, may be suitable for clients presenting with severe, acute depressive symptoms including suicidal ideation.

4 | Ketamine Injection Boosters

Clients who have been through a KAP series or an IM Injection Series with us or another provider may need occasional booster injections.

5 | Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Groups

Groups can offer an even more powerful KAP experience, and may be a more affordable option for some.  We offer a changing array of groups to meet our community’s needs.

6 | Psychotherapy

We offer individual psychotherapy as a stand-alone treatment.  Some of our KAP clients also choose to continue with their KAP therapist after completing a KAP series.

 Payment Options

Liminal Medicine accepts payment in cash, by check, or through most major credit cards.  Unfortunately, most insurance plans do not yet cover this treatment, and so we do not accept insurance.  We can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance plan, and some patients have been able to get partial reimbursement from their plans for this.  You will need to check with your plan for more information.

We also accept payment from your flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) if you have access to these options.

We are committed to increasing access to these important treatment options, and have established an access fund to help make treatment more available for those who cannot afford to pay full price.  This fund is mostly used to support sliding scale spots for our groups.  If you are able to contribute to this fund, please contact us!

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require at least 48-hour notice (weekends not included). If your appointment is on a Monday, the cancellation must be made by the same hour on the preceding Thursday, and if it is a Tuesday appointment, the cancellation must be made by the same hour on the preceding Friday.

Cancellations that occur with less than 48-hour notice or failure to show to an appointment will be charged the full fee for the session. We will try our best to fill a canceled appointment slot, and if successful, we will not charge you a fee. Please understand it is difficult to fill a 2-3 hour appointment without notice.
